How to Get there?

The nearest MTR Station:

Ocean Park (South Island Line), Exit C

From the MTR Station, you can take:

• Bus 6X, 73, 260, or 973 from Wong Chuk Hang San Wai Bus Stop to the Deep Water Bay Island Road stop (6-minute walk to the club)

• Green Minibus 40X to the Hong Kong Country Club (11-minute walk to the club)

You can also go there by Uber or taxi.

Amenities Info

Men’s and Women’s public changing rooms and toilets are available on Deep Water Bay, just outside the clubhouse. There are communal showers outside the changing rooms to rinse off (swimsuits must be worn).

Parking at Ocean Park is available (then take the bus* per the instructions above).

Overview

Open Water Swimming is a cardio discipline that puts participants in the middle of everything that Nature can offer. With 456 km of coastline, Hong Kong has some of the world’s most beautiful and easily accessible beaches. In partnership with Victoria Recreation Club (VRC), our Open Water Swimming event will be held at Deep Water Bay on the south side of Hong Kong, where you will enjoy a post-swim celebration with over 200 swimmers, overlooking the South China Sea.

Consists of a morning competition.

9:00am 5000m race starts
9:20am 2500m race starts

Guidelines / Special Considerations or Rules

All swimmers must hold a current license of their National Swimming Federation. If you are not a member of a FINA affiliated organization, Gay Games 11 Hong Kong 2022 will provide you with ability to obtain a “special event” or “one time” license for liability and insurance purposes. See IGLA Rule IDI 1.2 (Registration of Swimmers) for further detail. Please enter a seed time for each event. If you don’t know your best time, provide your best guess.
